Review of "Be The People" by Carol M. Swain

Can anyone doubt that it is indeed time for Americans to stand up and take a stand for truth? For integrity? For honesty and decency? We’re on a roll…and it isn’t a good one. If something doesn’t change then many, many things will continue to change and none for the better. When our people and our government are snuggling up to sin and mockingly doing it out front, out loud and with pride, it is a time for mourning. Overall, our lack of propriety, our lack of concern for “from whence we came” is a sad indication of where our country is headed. Knowing this, Carol M. Swain has written a book for concerned Americans. In Be the People, she confronts many of the issues that are shaping our country today.

Decidedly conservative in nature, Be the People is a readable book that covers much ground. Though one could wish that Mrs. Swain had used more Scripture to define and backup her arguments (it is published by a Christian publisher, after all), she did define the issues from a Scriptural viewpoint. She covers her issues fairly well but in many ways her book lacks an in-depth Scholarly feel.

DISCLAIMER: I received this book for free from BookSneeze for purposes of review. I was not required to give a positive review, only a fair and honest one. My opinions are my own.
